Elaine Ann Williams-Pinder is the founder of Gilgan Company Ltd. The juggernaut restaurant empire comprises Bamboo Shack, Frankie Gone Bananas, Sapodilla Estate, Sunset Beach Club, Bamboo Grillhouse, and Bamboo Shack (Miami, Florida).

As a businesswoman with a heart for her community, she has contributed to many philanthropic causes and is a source of strength to the Bahamian community and economy. Within her group of companies, she employs over 300 employees locally and internationally.

Elaine began her entrepreneurial journey by founding La Rose, a successful clothing store in 1990. Upon transitioning from the fashion industry during the time of the Gulf War, she discovered her signature recipe for Bamboo Shack’s chicken in her mother’s kitchen. The rest is history!
