One HR process that should be reviewed by my organization is developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Currently there are no SOP manuals. SOP should be developed for each department. Steps I would take to streamline and optimize this process include reaching out to my manager, assisting with assigning specialized areas of the SOP to the best suited individuals and establishing deadlines.

@k_pickstock10 I am also a new HR professional and the youngest in my department. I resonate with your sentiments. Like you, Ive noticed that I sometimes hesitate to ask questions or express my ideas. I believe that embracing that curiosity and improving communication can help us to make a positive impact and build our confidence in our roles.

Your emphasis on the importance of transparency in team dynamics is spot-on. Sharing information and ideas for the benefit of the entire organization is crucial for success. Your commitment to collaborative success sets a positive example and contributes to building a culture of trust and mutual support within the team. Keep up the great work!

After completing module 1, one strategy that I will apply this week is focusing on results. “It’s not about effort, it’s about results” emphasizes focusing on outcomes rather than just putting in effort. This approach will drive efficiency, accountability, strategic alignment and continuous improvement. By adopting a mindset that prioritizes results over mere effort, I can better support the business strategy by ensuring that efforts are purposeful, efficient, and contribute directly to long-term success.

One strategy I am glad to share that I have already been displaying intermittently is curiosity. I am a new HR professional and I am focused on understanding and absorbing as much as possible.
